Aftermarket Brakes - Recommendations

Hi,

 

I have read all the search posts about brakes, but would like to get an honest opinion on either the Powerslot or EBC brake rotors from current users.

 

EBC shows $48 more per pair for me. I would be getting EBC YellowStuff pads ($130) since I tow a 8000lb travel trailer around 30,000km (18,500 mi) a year.

 

BTW, I have 135,000km (84,000mi) on my original disks and pads and am just now starting to get a bit of a bump under hard braking. Never cleaned or adjusted them. I guess I'm lucky compared to others.

Either brand is fine. I went with Powerstop since they were cheaper.

I put some EBC slotted and dimpled rotors on the front a few months back. I also installed some Hawk ceramic (yellow) pads. The rotors are definitely being eaten by the pads. There are already big wavy lines you can feel in the rotors. I have since purchased OEM GM pads and will remove the Hawks and turn the rotors.
