88 Gmc Sierra Electronic Heater Control

Recommended Posts

I just replaced the Electronic heater A/C controller in the dash and after a short while the unit completely shut itself off. A few minutes later it came back on again. Question: Does the 88 C2500 Sierra have an overload circuit like the newer Sierras that might be going bad or in the 88 does it just have the blower motor? I have noticed that when the fan speed is on low there is a slight voltage drop on the guage but when it is set to high fan speed it really drops on the guage. Can the blower motor cause the electronic controller to quit working at a moments notice?

Any suggestion would be appreciated!

The blower motor is about 8 years old and doesnt make any unusual noises.omeso
