Sound Out Of Tweeters, Nothing Else, Help!

Hi, I have an 07 Sierra, new body style. Yesterday I started the truck and the radio was real quiet. I turned the volume up and it is still quiet and I only have trebble coming out of the speakers on the A-pillar. I have no door speaker sound and I tried adjusting the balance/fader with no luck. Stock unit and I do not have xm or bose but I have cd and mp3. I removed the unit to look at connections or look for a fuse with no luck. Is there a fuse anywhere that can be bad? There is sound coming out of the head unit to the a-pillar speakers so I am hesitant to just swap out the head unit with a replacement, get it reprogrammed and then still have an issue. I have serached all over and this doesn't seem to be a real common problem. Is there an external amp that could be bad? I find it hard to beleive that all of the door speakers would go at once??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any luck with this issue. I have the same problem. I tried an aftermarket Sony radio but have the same low volume problem.

BTW. My truck is an 06 Avalanche with onstar and CD player. No Bose. Thanks for any help. Kent

have same issue 07 new body style and only the drivers side door panel speaker does not work. Have done everything i could think of and still nothing.

The GMT900's have a problem with speakers cutting off and on. They have a short in the speaker itself. The best thing to do is replace all the speakers so you won't have to mess with them again. I pulled my door panel multiple times trying to find the short. Since replacing the speakers I have not had another problem.

chevy has a lot of really nice features on their trucks. speakers are not one of those features. that are, and always will be, junk. throw in some memphis pr's
