About Nurf Bars

So I got Step Sides (Nurf Bars) by Dee Zee. Well they hold my weight but as i drove off. I could feel something different in the steering and hear sounds, like the bars are loose or bots clang and tang. They say its tight enough but might need some adjustment as they might be forward. Anyone who has nurf bars, do you hear any sounds when you go over pot holes or bumps. Like they "clang". This is my first truck with "Nurf bars". Any help on this issue be helpful. I am bringing the truck back in for them to fix it. But I want to get some ideas, just in case they try to say oh that's how it is. My idea is the side steps should be tight and no noise or anything when turning etc.

Thank you for your time

Sounds like you've got something rubbing in the mounting hardware. If you're positive the cab bolts were retorqued correctly, I'd take a look to see if something is rubbing. My dad installed a set of nerfs on his 06 Colorado, and like you say he had creaking and squeaking. He's going deaf, which would be a good thing in this case, and the noise didn't bother him. Over the past 3-4 years the noise has stopped.

my brother's does this. It's the bars making contact with the cab from what he can tell. He's going to try and fix it with spacers but hasn't gotten around to it yet.
