1985 Sierra Classic Sunroof

Hey folks, I'm new to the forum but I've been lurking for a little while. I picked myself up a nice little Sierra a while ago and it's been treating me very nicely so far so I'd like to return the favour to it by picking away at restoring it. One thing that would make a big improvement right away is replacing the missing sunroof. The trim seems to still be in place but the previous owner says the glass was broken out, so he just put a piece of sheet metal in it's place to cover the hole. I've had ZERO luck tracking down somewhere that actually sells a replacement sunroof. I've tried RockAuto, LMC Truck, Napa, and a few other various local places. Does anyone know where I can find one of these things?

Have you tried searching for the replacement sunroof panel on gmpartsgiant.com? They typically carry a lot of OEM parts that the other big GM parts sites don't seem to have in stock. It's worth a shot, anyway

 

Have you considered searching for another model year sunroof replacement within the '81-'87 model run? Most of the parts should be interchangeable, save for certain engine and fuel system related parts. Since you're looking for a body part, some of the later 80's Sierra sunroofs may fit your model year truck.
