Another Trans Maintnence Question

Well none of my local chevrolet dealers will change the transmission filter on my 4l60E and i really don't feel like doing it myself. IM at 50k miles and wondering if just doing a flush will be okay without doing the filter? I feel like i should change the filter first...

Why wont they change the filter? If you are paying that makes no sense, but does it ever?

 

I would feel more comfortable changing the filter as I am not a fan of doing a flush.

yea thanks. i even asked if they would change the filter and the service writer said "no we only do flushes here, they're alot better as they get the fluild out of the torque converter blah blah blah" so i politely responded "no thanks ill just get the tire rotation then"
