Hi everyone. My name is Mike, I live in Kingston ON. I'm 47 years old, been married since 1987 (yes to the same girl, Deborah), I have 2 kids, Andrea 23 and Kyle 21. I also have a beautiful granddaughter Alecia who just turned 2 last month. I retired from the military in 2008 after serving 27 years in the Air Force and Army.

My truck is a 1997 Sierra 4x4 extended cab. First time owning a GMC, bought it from my garage in March of this year and I love it. My other rig is a 1991 Toyota 4Runner that I have all jacked up and looking for mud.

Just wanted to find out more stuff about my truck, what other people have done to their trucks and get some help with leveling kits and rear suspension.

Mike

I just jacked up my torsion bars to level my 2000 gmc sierra but u best bet is to get those leveling torsion keys.

So..are you Makebelieves Fan or you swing further East?? LmAO

Well hi the Bob, thanks for your reply. I have a good friend of mine that lives in Sterling, not to far from Tweed. Yeah in the winter here, the 401 between Ottawa and Toronto is a very dangerous hwy to be on. I avoid like the plaque if I can. Nope, hate the Leafs, don't mind the Senators but my team has been the Bruins since 1967...

PS: one of my annual trips without fail is to take my friends Dad, an 88 yr old WWII vet to the EX to march in the Warriors Day Parade. This was the first year he missed since 1960 something due to illness :)

I've never made it to one of those parades. Wow, since 1960...that alone is very impressive. Well I your friends Dad still has more parades in his future, our WWII vets are thinning out every year and that is sad, it's part of life but, still sad.

Thanks Matt. Yeah I just put on the 2.5in Ready Lift leveling kit last week. They had my front end jacked right up to the max height.....it was like doing 60mph down the highway in a bulldozer.....absolutely no suspension give....I swear I even got some air on a few good bumps. I torqued them down about 1/2in....much better ride now.

Hahaha.....now that's funny. Well they can try to throw me out but they have too much money invested in me right now. I first started cheering for them when my older brother sat me down one Saturday night and we watched Hockey Night in Canada for the first time. Boston was playing Montreal and I didn't even know what hockey was up to that point (I was only 4 years old). Boston got the first goal and it was scored by the Great Bobby Orr. My brother said to me 'even though he's on an American team, that guy is a Canadian and he's from Parry Sound (which was just south of our home town of North Bay)...I was hooked with the Bruins ever since.

"What game"...that's what I usually say when Toronto or Montreal are playing! I use to like Montreal but when I discovered my Mom cheered for them....when ever they played, I always cheered for the other guy.
