sounds like 4wd will not disengage right

OK, so people on this site seems to have the same problem. im looking for some help here also. my story is, i got into a lil trouble that tore my front differential housing off. i took my truck to a shop, they said they put a used front diff in there, that has almost the same miles as mine (at the time 35k now 45,546 miles). every since i got it back i would use the four wheel drive. when i put it back into 2wd i start going and i get a growling/rubbing sound from my front differential. to me im guessing my truck is not disengaging right. i can some times get it to stop by putting it 4 wheel low go in reverse for a couple of seconds with no popping. then put it back down into 2wd and then its fine. now its different. front differential is one thing i haven't token apart on my truck.

every points the problem at the wheel bearings but i don't think its that. cuz it only happens when i want to disengage my 4wd.
