I know and I have searched but can't find a for sure answer. I have a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 crew cab z71. Buying new tires and wheel by this weekend.

BF Goodrich Ta KO LT285/65R18 or LT275/65/R18

XD 779 Badlands 18" x 9"

On the wheels they offer 4.53 backspace with 12mm offset or 5.71 backspace with 18mm offset. Which size will work best ?

Thanks....

+18 will reduce the chance of rubbing.

Also 275/65/18 are too small. You would want 275/70/18 or 285/65/18

That's what I'm worried about is the rubbing but +18 also has more backspace seems like that would have more chance to rub ?

These trucks have very square finders. If you try and put the tires outside the fenders (-12 offset) then the tires will rub. Some truck rub more than others. The best choice in aftermarket wheels is +18 to prevent rubbing. The very best choice is stock wheels at +31 offset.
