Another Chrome vs. Black Question

Hey guys, new to the forum. I've bought my first vehicle a few months ago and i'm looking to make my first appearance modifications to it.

I like the look of black, but since the truck came with the chrome package I thought why not utilize it? Anyways, I wasn't thinking earlier and I bought smoked window visors and black box caps, (Still haven't picked them up) and a stainless grille insert.

 

The question is, would it look better if I just left the visors and caps off, put the stainless grille on, removed the smoked bug deflector and current chrome bed rails?

To set off the front end I was thinking of buying clear corner lights.

Would this look tasteful?

 

It has the factory decals, rocker panels with the strip and chrome fender trim.

 

I do have pictures of the truck, however they are to big to be uploaded to the forum.

Apart from complete audio system, the K&N filter and the air silencer removal, the truck is stock.

Exactly, your truck = your tastes. I like the mix of black and chrome on my Summit White truck, but I've also thought out how black or chrome/stainless would look on each piece I've added before purchase! Good luck!

Yeah, they both look good on a white truck, pewter also looks spectacular with either arrangement. Unfortunately, my truck is red.

Red and Black look great together, but with your two tone I would be careful don't want to have too many colors or shades in the mix.

 

Like everyone else, it's nice to have opinions but in the end you have to do what you like.

 

Also if you get a image hosting account it's easier to post pics, ie: photobucket, image shack something like that.

I enjoy black and red for its simplicity and it's probably worlds easier to maintain over chrome. Perhaps someday I'll convert to it, after new paint If I hold onto it that long.

As for the parts I bought, I'll just hang onto them.

White Corner lights, no visors/deflector, black bed caps and it will be golden like ponyboy.
