Color match bowties...

I want to color match the bowtie emblems on my truck but I need help finding matching spray paint. Also for those that have done it, what kind of prep work did you do?

I bought some at Orielly's and I saw it in Advance Auto once ........ Made by Duplicolor, sprayed my mirror caps the color was spot on. If the white you have is the common white on GMC and Chevy ( I forget the paint code ) they should stock it in store, it's a very common color.

I taped mine off scuffed them them up with some sand paper, primed and shot mine black. Since you are using White you might want to consider clearing them as well so they will match the truck finish.

Great thanks for the info! Mine is summit white do they just have generic white or is it specific?

It is specific and if you go on duplicolor's website they have the exact paint code. Usually O'Reily's carries it. If not they can get it in a couple of days. Good luck and be sure to post pics!
