Grease Fittings

Ok, here it is.  I started greasing my 02 gmc truck with the help of some pictures someone from this site put up.  I followed the steps and greased all the fittings.  I gave a copy of the sheets to someone who works where i do.

 

Here is the weird part.

 

He says his 02 silverado with the 4.8 engine only has 9 grease fittings and there are 2 "permanent greaseless plugs" where the other 2 should be.

 

Does this make any sense?

I guess it's possible, but GM went down that dead-end road once before, and I'd hope that they learned.

 

Since you've seen all 11 on your truck you might want to take a peek at his and see if they're all there.

I know what your thinkin punk.  Did he grease 11 or only 9?  But seeing as the Zerk fitting is the most unused fitting in the land, you have to ask yourself... Do you feel lucky?  Well do ya?
