Truck Camper ?

We own a 99 GMC Sierra Ext cab truck.  We are looking at getting a truck camper for this for the summer and for my hunting trips.  

Does anyone have one?  And if so what type.

 

I'd like to get an older one for now(cheaper) but not sure if they will fit the Extended cab of my truck when most olders ones where for regular cab trucks.

What size bed do you have?  Alot of the truck campers are for 8' beds.

 

Also the older units tend to be very heavy, so you may want to do some suspension work on the rear of the truck.  An extra leaf on the rear springs or a set of airbags would be a great idea, and maybe a rear sway bar too...

 

It shouldn't matter whether your truck is an excab or not.  The camper should still fit, but the overhang may not come as far forward over the roof.

id suggest airbags instead of adding a leaf spring to the rear
