new to GM looking to lift

I am looking into lifting my 99 yukon 4 door 3-6 inches and am wondering what kits you guys are running, I am a avid 4x4er and come from running toyotas (mostly 4 runners) I know this truck is way heavier and has a few extra ponies to make up for it. now all I need is the ground clearance.

 

not looking for body lifts.

 

any input/sites would be awesome, also what generation is 99 yukon placed under.
