4 by 10 any good

Hey guys, I'm rebuilting my system in my car. As of now my speaker setup is this. Polk 6.5 components in the front. IDQ 12 inch sub in the back. Both sub and components have there own amp. I want to get a set of rear speakers that will run off the head. Having a two door the only other place to put speakers is in the 4" by 10" holes on above the trunk.

 

1. Are there any 4/10 speakers that are any good on the market?

 

2. Should i even waste my time and money? what other options do i have?

Check your local stereo shops. Several venders carry a 4x10 to 6x9 adaptor that should fit your car. 6x9's put out very good midbass when quality ones are used. Good luck and above all have fun.

Not really, 4x10's are pretty much the b@st@rd step children of the audio world.

 

I would lean toward a custom plate using a 4" component set (like the 4x6's) or a 6x9.

a 6/9 adapture, hmm that seems like a lot of speaker to fit in there but im def gonna look into it. or ill fab somethin up .
