Voice commands for factory nav unit

I have a factory nav unit installed in my Yukon. I just installed the voice harness but I cannot access the voice commands, it goes straight to onstar. Can anyone help?

year, make, and model might help people know how to address your issue, as different years work slightly different..

 

 

but on my 2010 you have to press and hold the talk button on the steering wheel, a single press release goes to OnStar and a press and hold goes to Voice Command.

I figured it out..I have a 2011 yukon..I read on another thread to try the source button to get to voice commands and that actually worked for me
