Homelink Programming

My wife has an '03 Yukon and it has the Homelink programmable buttons in the overhead console. The problem is that I can't get it to work with our Craftsman door opener. The opener is the rolling code type, but I've tried everything by the book. Press the button on the opener, then press and hold the Homelink button for 2 seconds and release. Repeat one or two more times.  I've tried pressing it 5 times, 1 second, 4 seconds, etc. Everything I could think of with no luck.

Anybody else have issue with programming this thing?? Is it the brand of opener or is something wrong with the Homelink in the truck?

Thanks.

After you programmed the remote to the Homelink, did you program the door opener to learn the Homelink signal?  This is the second key part for the rolling code openers.  I have the Genie ones with the rolling code.  The Craftsman should be very similar.

Oh, forget. I just figured out what I was doing wrong. When the transmitter to Homelink didn't work, I was trying to start all over and clear the code out of the Homelink. I then tried the 2 second programming bit, but the original transmitter signal was already cleared out.

Anyways, thanks for the help.
