Which leveling kit (size)? I want to run 285/70/17.....

Ok.. Need some help here. I bought my truck used and it already had an RC leveling kit installed on the front. I am shopping for new tires and would love to get some 285/70/17's under the truck. To determine what RC leveling kit I have, is it just as simple as measuring the leveling spacers with a tape measure? I did that (from the inside of the lower control arm at the shock) and it appears the black spacers measure 1". I don't want to spend $1000.00 on tires if they (285/70/17) will rub my inner fenders and chew everything up. I also have Duaflap mud flaps installed. I like the looks of the bigger 285's, but don't want to pull the trigger if I am going to have to shell out more money for a bigger leveling kit and not be able to use my mud flaps.

Am I right with my measurements? Do I have a 1 inch kit or is there something I am missing.

As Always, Thanks for the help.

You have a 2" kit and could clear those tires. With the lower spacer, the spacer is half the height of the lift amount

Well, I think I have answered my own question. I checked the Rough Country website and it looks like they only offer a 2inch kit for the 07-13 Silverado/Sierra... So, I feel dumb now!! lol... I must have a 2 inch kit. But I have more questions.

Anyone that is running 285/70/17 with a two inch kit, how much room do you have at full crank? My duraflaps are about 1/4 inch thick at the outer wheel well but do not go all the way to the far inner portion of the wheelhouse. Still wondering if I am going to have issues with 285's and the flaps.

Dude.. Thanks... i figured that out as you can see from my post. I must have been writing when you responded. Thoughts on the mudflaps and the 285's?

Thanks

On your stock rims, 285/70/17's will be just fine. I ran 285's on my old truck...with aftermarket rims...and mud flaps...and a 2" level kit. They just barely rubbed the flaps when I was backing out of a steep driveway with the wheels cranked. In normal driving, they never rubbed.
