Roaring noise

I have a 2011 silverado 1500 Z71 4x4.

3.42 gears.

As I accelerate at wot I hear a roaring noise that sounds like it is coming from rear. But I can't tell. When under load or towing a heavy load It's more prominent. Is this noise the rear end and would changing the rear differential fluid help? Or should I just take it to the dealer and let them check it out since its still under warranty?

I'd take it in. They'll road test and verify. If they pull the cover to inspect/repair, you get new fluid. So, just let the general take care of it.

Dropped it off tonight at the dealer. Gonna see what they say. It is something that happens every time I hit the throttle hard and am running through the gears. It's separate from the tranny. I don't know what it is but I hope they find out what it is. It's definitely mechanical. It's still under warranty. I just wanted to see if anyone else here had the same problem and any advice or experience with it. I will post updates once I get some from the dealer.

Dealership said it was tire problem. Had an alignment done. Haven't heard the noise since. But have only driven it once. Back home from the dealer.

Ok so roar is there. Also if I am going up a slight grade very slowly it feels as though the transmission is slipping. After about 10mph it doesn't happen. Don't know if the two are related but i hope it doesn't become a larger problem.

Get everything documented, keep a record. If you are able to duplicate the problem I'd try a different dealer or call GM Customer Care with your concerns as well

Do not get mad, that doesn't do anyone any good. They are more likely to tell you to stuff it if you try to get angry with them. Be reasonable.

Well I'm still under full warranty and then the 100,000 mile power train so I'm not too worried...yet. I will take it in once I get the time. I thought maybe someone with more mechanical experience might chirp in on what he or she thinks it may be.
