Help on Mods

94 GMC Sierra 5.7L 350 2wd. I have an MSD 6A Ignition and wires with MSD GM Blaster Coil and Bosch Platinum +2 Plugs. I want to get a flowmaster ehaust, but I am unsure which to get. Any ideas on any mods or any other performance mods would be appreciated.

Thanx,

Meldog

You have the TBI injection, right? I would go for a TBI spacer, definately work well.  increase in low end torque.  flowmaster 40 series if you want a real throaty sound, flowmaster 50 series delta flow if you want more of a mellow tone.  I have the 40 series and when i put on my shorty headers it mellowed it out more.  another good mod would be some kind of cold air intake (K&N F.I.P.K, air aid, etc...)

I have a 92 with the 5.7 TBI, I put the 40 series on it. It can be pretty loud when your into the throttle, but it isn't too bad at tamer RPM's. I get a lot of remarks on how good it sounds.

Mine is a K1500 Blazer, and I don't have exhaust tips. They just dump over the rear axle, and end without hanging down below the body. (I like a clean look)

These things will make the resonance a little different than what you will get from a truck. It will also sound different if you use tips, and let them go all the way out to the rear bumper.

The SOTP dyno can feel the increase in power a bit too. That makes it all worth it.

How do you like the MSD ignition/wires/coil combo? Does it make that big of a difference?
