Need shock absober recommendations

2001 Chevrolet 2500HD crew cab 6.0 gas short bed 4WD

 

My truck has 111K miles on it now and I'm thinking of replacing the shocks. It is my daily driver and the only thing I tow is a pair of jetski and occasionally an old Jeep on a pipe-top trailer, neither more than 180 miles. Does anyone have a good recommendation on replacement shocks that will improve the ride quality? I recognize that it is a 3/4 ton truck and that I gave up ride quality when I bought it but that being said what would be the best shock to use on a reasonable budget. Oh, it also has 285 BFG all-terrain tires if that matters.

I like the Bilstein 4600's. They are the HD model. I run them on my truck with 2500 HD rear springs. Decent ride empty and amazing when loaded

Bilstein 5100's are extremely popular, but cost a little more than the 4600's. Either will make a big ride improvement.
