What kind of snowmobile...

Ok, I know that we have some snowmobilers on here.  What kind of sleds do you all ride?

I have:

2000 Polaris XC 500

w/ Hamilton's long track conversion to a 136"/2" paddles

I love this sled because it has a decent amount of power, and with the long track conversion will do well in the fluffy.  With the XC front end, it performs nice on the trail too.  For my next sled, I would like to get a 700 or 800 Edge RMK :-D

I am waiting for some friends, so I thought I would ask you...what kind of sleds do you ride?  Any modifications?

GF7PE,

You must have gone way back for this thread.  I had forgot I even posted it.  Evidently, the amount of snowmobilers on here was less than I thought.

Don't know where all of the snowmobiliers are, we do have a few.

I ride Polaris. This winter I'm riding a 700 XC, longtracked with an M-10 suspension, Ohln shocks and a Genesis motor with a PSI big bore kit, punched out to 800cc's.  It is a hill climbing, powder busting monster with the best mogul sucking suspension in the business. It's also about as light as my Suburban :jester:

Had a 2 foot dump of snow last Wednesday and took a night ride after work Thursday and Friday.  Will probably get a couple more rides up around Jackson Hole before the end of the season, if I'm lucky.

P.S. GF7PE - love those new Cat handlebars. :jester:  I'd like to ride one and try them out!

GF7PE-Nice lookin' sled there.  What model Cat is that red one there on the left? On a different note, do you have any pics of your truck??

DigUOut-That is a pretty slick sounding setup.  The XC's with a long track make a real good combination/sled.

Dude, those SxVipers look pretty nice, considering they aren't a Polaris ;-)  What cc is your sled?

Ya the viper is sweet looking...The Viper Its a 700cc triple with a single pipe... Wish they had done the triple triple... Oh well not going to waste my money on power upgrades...  If it can move my butt at over 100MPH I am happy.... :jester:

Wish I had the RX-warrior.... Down the road I am going to be looking at those for my next sled... 136 inch track with a four cycle 1000cc.... That power got to put a smile on your face...

I have had some issues with my Viper over heating... Last weekend of riding I had the engine mount bolt break and another fall out... Not good... Sled is heading to the dealership as soon as I can get it back down from the mountains...

How many miles did everyone put on this year? I have about 3,500 for the year...
