2014 Factory Exhaust

Looking for the factory cat-back exhaust system for a 2014 crew cab short box with the 5.3. It needs to have the muffler, exhaust valve/flapper, and resonator in tact. I have an aftermarket exhaust installed and its too loud and I lost some power down low. I'm trying to go back to stock without having to order one from the dealership.

I have some really nice double wall stainless 4" tips if anybody would be interested in a trade as well.

What exactly did you do? You could install an bigger muffler if you straight piped it with smaller muffler(s) to quiet it down.

I deleted the middle muffler and straight piped it, leaving the valve and resonator in place. The sound volume isn't too loud, in fact it's not much louder than a denali with the 6.2, but it sounds like a V6 now and I definitely lost some low end torque. It doesn't have any throatiness like the denali.

Remove resonator and install what kstruckcountry suggested and you will be more than happy. Though, I don't see how you could have lost much low end. It would be almost unnoticeable IMO. But you are driving the 2014 so I could be wrong.

It's hard to describe the loss of low end power. It's not noticeable in 1st or 2nd but in 3rd and higher gears you can definitely feel it if you ease on the pedal. Also, under full acceleration it makes a terrible hissing noise in the higher rpms. I'd just like to go back to stock if I can, I decided I like it quiet better now. Call me an old man, but it's nice only hearing the radio.

Just have a muffler shop weld up an muffler, 22in or longer, if possible, and it should be fine then.
