Upgrading grounds through battery

Very simple, I just needed to ask. Is it okay to run a ground from alt grnd to battery grnd, body to battery grnd, and battery grnd to chassie. These are all in addition to stock wire and in 4ga. Seem safe?

I did this in 1/0 AWG, but I went alt+ to batt+, block gnd to chassis gnd, batt- to chassis gnd

Is it a bad idea to continue to back to the battery? It just makes for shorter runs but I don't want anything to get too hot either. I guess it wouldn't because all stock grounds are still in place.

Shorter the grounding cable, the better. Run them how you see fit but use the thickest wire you can like Chris did.
