1985 GMC 3500 Vendura

Hey Guys,

I need help on figuring out what part this is (ive attached a few pictures). I have the 5.7L 350 V8. This piece came off from the carburator choke assembly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

looks like an electric choke valve. There should be an emissions schematic sticker on underside of hood or on radiator shroud showing routing of vacuum lines if not mistaken.

I thoroughly searched RockAuto website and could not find a component that looks remotely close to what you've shown. Are those two terminal blades for an electrical connector? Sorry if I've led you on a goose chase. Is there an AC Delco part number anywhere on this piece?

 

Might not be a bad idea to pick up a Haynes or Chiltons manual from your local auto parts store. They're about $20 or so and can be quite helpful.

Could you put the hose on the part as it came off the carb?

Hey Guys,

I actually posted this for a friend of mine, so I dont have the part with me anymore. The entire part was rusted out so its impossible to decipher a part number. I think it may come down to buying a Chilton manual. I also thoroughly searched Rockauto with no luck either. Im baffeled.
