Still having cluster problems

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hey guys I'm still trying to DIY my instrument cluster issues...Acluster rebuilder on the east coast

stated he thought that it could be a ground problem where all the gauges are dead and on zero.

After I told him that GM had replaced it already with a rebuilt one he said they should last longer than

5 yrs. and may be it could be a ground issue as some people on here havestated that has been the

cause with their trucks. ......Question if it was a ground problem would the back lite in the cluster still work???....I have the #24 fuse out and the back lite still works so they must not have the same ground...All other electric systems work fine and can't see spending 100's of$$$ at the dealer to

check grounds ....Does the cluster ground only ground the cluster and if so where the *#+@+

is it....

Help Dave :chevy::cheers::confused:
