Odd high beam problems

My 08 GMC Sierra (50,000 miles) has a strange high beam problem. This morning I noticed I left my high beams on, but the high beam indicator was not lit up, and my fog light indicator was showing my fog lights were on, and I immediately knew something wasn't right. After I got home and restarted my truck, I found that....

 

- In AUTO headlight mode the high beams do not work with the turn signal lever pushed forward, but they work when the lever is pulled back to simply flash the high beams.

 

- When the headlight switch is turned on (not AUTO mode, all the way to the right) the high beams work fine when the turn signal lever is pushed forward and pulled back as well.

 

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? My worse nightmare is some unknown wiring issue. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
