Check engine light

Last night my check engine light came back on, i'm figuring it has to do with the canister purge solenoid that i've replaced already (if thats the right part, the one near the fuel tank). After i scan it and find that it is that part, i was curious if there is a replacement which will hold up longer than the OEM part that keeps going that anyone knows about.

Thanks.

First things first, let's make sure that is the cause of the check engine light. If it is, sounds like a failure, and should be covered under the manufacturers warranty. Have you looked into that yet?

there is no "figuring" anything when a SES comes on ,,,it has to scanned first !!!!! and you get what u pay for in electrical parts ,,,the "vent" solenoid does fail and dirt roads cause it and the EVAP canister is full of dirt ,,,,,if the solenoid is only changed ,,it wont last long from my experience in rural Alberta ,,,,always replace the canister with the vent solenoid and relocate the filter to the engine compartment ,,,,lots of threads here on this subject as well,

reply back with the code if ya want ,,,,we'll be right here lol

The "purge" is the one on/near the engine / intake manifold. The vent is in the rear. I image you are getting a P04** code. Let us know the actuall code number and word for word description. And what year/model is this?
