I just installed a 2-way radio in my 2013 denali 2500hd. Mounting options were very limited in the cab, so I mounted it to the side of the center console on the passenger side. I originally wanted to mount in under the steering wheel, out of the way but I was advised not to. Apparently there was an incident in the area where once of the mounting brackets when through a driver's leg when he was hit head on by another truck. I know unlikely, but wanted to avoid that danger. Antenna is mounted just under the hood on drivers side close to the cab.

if it will help you I can take a picture of my two way unit. I can say the only complaint I would have is that when the passenger seat is slid ahead it pushes up against the mic holder and could possibly key the mic. You could bolt the mic holder elsewhere, but I I didnt want to do any more drilling then necessary.

Ive seen those mounts before I think. I have also ran across a replacement am fm antenna that also has the cb antenna in it as well. that would be nice if it worked well....
