2001 Sierra Electrical issues

Various warning lights flash intermittently. Security light either flashes or stays on. The all goes normal for awhile. After turning motor off sometimes security light will stay on. If this happens and left to sit like over the weekend battery is dead. Occasionally when starting motor will turn over but not start. I wait a couple minutes try again and it starts. Also console where you can check for instant mpg usually does not work, especially in cold weather. Help!

these trucks dont like low voltage ,,,

 

have your battery/alt checked ,cables ,etc etc ,,lots of threads here about low voltage crazyness lol
