99 Silverado, 5.3 LT 4x4.

This weekend I replaced the knock sensors, PS pump, radiator and various components that go along with these. All went well, or at least more positive than negative. Upon returning from a successful test drive, I noticed this piece on the driveway underneath where the truck was when I did the work. It doesn't look familiar to me and don't remember removing it during the process.

Any guesses as to what this is?

thanks for any help.

Louie, you are the man! thanks for the help. This answers another question I had as well, one that never really seemed to make sense to me. the PS pump has 4 bolts that attach it, however 1 of the bolts didn't seem to do anything other than screw into the threads on the pump reservoir - nothing else. I assumed maybe the extra bolt hole on the pump made the part usable on some other vehicles as well, but I never really liked that guess. That extra bolt has been bothering me. I'm betting that this will answer it, it is in the same general location as the bottom edge of the reservoir. All the wrestling needed to get the old pump out and I guess I never noticed it and didn't hear it hit the ground.

Thanks again for the help!
