Adding power seats 2005 Sierra 1500

Hi all:

I recently bought an `05 Sierra 1500 ext cab 4x4, excellent condition, 1 owner, he also owns the garage next to my workplace, and does all of the maintenance on my GMC Topkick 5500 bucket truck. The pickup has been very well maintained, mostly highway miles from home to his shop and back. When he upgraded to a newer truck, I jumped at it. Being taller than average, and getting older, I`d really like to add a power seat to it.

It currently has a 40/20/40 front seat, driver and pass seats are separate, with a middle seat that has a fold down back with flip up lid covering storage bin (hope that`s clear). Can anyone advise what would be required to add power to the driver`s side? Would I be better off just adding some shims / washers to the rear bolts until I find the correct pitch for the seat-I know this would be cheaper, but on long drives, I'd really like to be able to change things to move the pressure points around.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Andy in Nova Scotia.
