DO NOT use Firestone Ride Rite 2430 on your MY 2014

After Firestone saying this kit for the 900t worked and was approved for the new truck.I bought and installed. Well the bottom bracket on the inside has cut a hole in the air bag.The other bag is about ready to go.Bag pin is in the locating hole.I will be contacting Firestone ASAP.

Keep us posted. I was considering airbags in the spring for towing my trailer with my 2014 Silverado CC 4x4.

Yup will take some time to get this sorted out.At minimum I need 2 new bags and have to cut the inside off the bottom bracket s.

Any resolution here? Is the 2430 not the one to be using? I am about to order some ride rites for my 14 Silverado.

I have had those bags on my truck for a year and a half and have towed heavy for about 5,000 miles without any issues.

 

Mine were so easy to install that I did it in my driveway in about 3 hours.

 

To the OP, I hope you get this worked out as so far for me the kit has been amazing. The reviews on Amazon are also all good.

 

To those wanting this to tow a TT, take a minute to really decide about hooking the bags together with the optional T fitting so you only have one fill valve. I split them in the beginning and it was such a pain to get the air pressure the same in each bag. Switching made it so much easier to fill and deal with, and I feel it made the ride better.

 

Clearly this is my opinion and someone else's mileage may vary. :-)

Thanks. I had them on my old truck and I liked them when towing my travel trailer. Not sure if I will use the T.

I easily installed these on my 2014 as well and havent had a single issue. Either yours is defective or maybe they sent you the wrong kit like Amazon initially did with mine. Both sets were very similar so it was easy to confuse the two.
