Torsion Bar Adjustment

My 2002, 1500 sits low in the front. I have a few Q's about leveling it out.

1) If the bars are setup will the ride change be drastic ?

2) Will this cause the alingment to be out of wack ?

3) Are there any other problems I'm not aware of ?

Thankz for your input.

1. Yes

2. Yes.

3. I don't know what you are aware of, so I can't answer this one.

1. Your ride will be a little stiffer, not much, but you will notice it.

2. You should have an alignment shortly after cranking them. Some people say that it didn't affect their alignment...Some say it did. I have done it to three vehicles, and all three were out of alignment afterwards.

Hope this helped a little.

I thank you for your help.

I guess the third Q was asked wrong, it should've said, is there anything else I should know?

Let me add another.

4) Can I do the lift myself? If so, how? then have the alingment done at a shop.

I have built some rods in the past. Avg skills.

Sorry, I missed question 4.

Just do a search on "torsion bar", and look through the threads. You will find a few that explain it better than I can.
