dodge broke!!!  trans died!!  this is not cool, im never buying cars from old people ever again!!  the old person must have scewed it up!!  im angry now, im not getting anymore used cars, but a new one could be costa mucha, so i think i may end up selling the 98 and the ram (for like $5000) so i can get a new 2wd f-150 (they have like $2500 off stiker sale or something).  i should have known something like this would happen.

Sorry to hear that bad news Paco.  If you would have only asked first, I would have told you about the Dodge tranny issues and would have tried my hardest to get you to buy a Silverado.  

 

You could probably get the tranny rebuilt for a $1000 - $1500 and you'd be OK then for 3 more years!!!

im not going rebuilt, did that with a taurus and it died in 2 months.  im going to take work off tomorrow and go to ford dealer, ima sell the 98 f-150 and the ram ( i doubt ill get much out of it).

They do have a bit of a rep. for shelling those things.  You must be #### good at wrecking them to only do it in a week or so!

Paco, you can buy a brand new tranny for about $1500. If you're interested I'll try to find the link.

jp, the truck is used...so i did not do all of the damage.

 

im not going to get a new tranny...it will prolly screw up too

 

btw -- i have no truck now, both the ram and f-150 were sold, right now i have a rental expedition from the dealer.  im still trying to decide between a 4.2 and 4.6

ok, im getting a 02 f-150 supercab XLT 2wd w/ 4.6, auto, 3.55 gears...the dealer has one i like, ima go buy it tomorrow
