Early 90's Toyota Carolla.  Honda Civic, Original Beetle,  Motorcycle.  That is all I can really think of.  What happened to your fathers BMW?  Is he keeping it?  Good luck.  Sorry I can't think of any more.

1998 or newer Korean cars (when they started the 10 year warranties), Toyota Corollas, Cressidas, Camrys, etc... a lot of things could work.  Really I think it comes down to what is in the best condition for the price.

I agree, I would go with a Yota.

My sisters college car was a 1980 Corolla. She bought it for a grand with 200k miles. Then racked it up to 400k miles. All she ever did was change the oil. Nary a problem

Chevy Nova (1986-1989) or a Geo Prizm.  Both those cars are actually a Toyota Corolla.  You'd get the Toyota reliabillity without paying for the name.

Hondas are good but you pay top dollar for a high milage car...  :jester:

An older Nissan or Mazda might be another way to go.

the problem is he'sp soon gonna be driving 140 miles a day again, and it'll be the BMW Since he will have the truck, he wants a second car that will be his driver. I want to find a car for him(sort of quickly). There is a 93 Mitsu Mirage in the paper, underpowered but good gas milage. I'll look for those prisim's I guess.

If I can't find a car, I'll probably end up SELLING the truck if I need to to buy ME somthing.
