2010 Silverado -Onstar App now works with remote start

I will admit that I have not been active here for a while so I may have missed this if someone else posted this. When the Onstar App first came out, they said that the 2010 Silberados were never going to be compatible. At the time this was verified by employees of Onstar. Much to my surprise when I bought my new 2015 1LE Camaro and got the latest Onstar App, it will remote start my truck.

 

Did I miss this as an update to the 2010's?

When I bought my wife's traverse in 2012 it said from 2010 and up which the traverse was a 2010 and it worked with it. So I gues between 2010 and 2012 they fixed or changed it.
