Here is whats in there:

Fosgate 500x for the mids and highs.

Fosgate 700s for the subs.

Infiniti plates in the rear doors.

MB Quart components in the front doors.

2 Kicker Comp V/R 10" subs.

:jester: Looks good.  Even though I too am not really in to the stuff I knew my 4 4X6's(stock rears and Pioneer fronts) just wouldnt work so I put in a powered 6" Bazooka.  Thats more than plenty for me.

Did you cut away insulation to put the amps in? Looks great

Yeah, I cut away most of the insulation. Then put dynamat in its place around the amps.

It's a loud SOB, thats for sure. But with the MB Quart, and Infiniti mids and tweets....It has the most crystal clear sound of any stereo that I have ever built.

I'm pretty happy with it.

did you screw the amps directly into the sheet metal or did you use another mounting method.  I just have my amp floating being the seat right now but want to mount it.  Let me know.  Thanks!

...by the way, looks good.

I hope I can get my sub in soon, my stock highs are good enough, I just want a little more bass. Also I want to play some ol' Merle Haggard ouder than a riceboy can play Eminem :jester:  :smash:

Wing it looks great man, glad it sounds good :thumb:

I didn't install it for any beauty contests.....So yeah. I just got some short self-tapping screws. And it was done.

However, if I were to do it again. I would probably build a simple rack. Not that I care about a few holes in the back wall. I spotted them with a silicone sealant when I zapped them through...So no rust....And if I ever take the time to take that entire system apart, it means that the truck is totaled, or I'm selling it. Either way the holes wouldn't matter anymore. :smash:

I feel like killing myself. I had two 12" Arc Audio KAR series subs I bought in September, awating my car, which took forever to get lol. THEN when I get the Blazer, my dad says I have to wait to put even any kindd of stereo in, even though the fronts were blown out. OHH get this, I took the rear speaker grills off, there's supposed to be 6x9's in there, the jackazzes before toook some speakers off a boombox and gutted em out, used the magnet to hold them in  GOD that made me wonder...lol.

Anyways, I', lookin to buy another pair of 12's, or even some 10's, A good amp, a set of tweets and I'll have my cousin help me put it all in. Oh yea, I sold my last pair, shudda mentioned that b4 :smash:

Ok, I'm done rambling lol.

Looks good nut!

Built to spec or universal?

and from who?

thanks

I bought it from a local audio shop, they have a stack of them for Chevys, a stack of them for Fords, etc. So I guess that would be "Universal"....By Manufacturer.

    • You're better read than that Atlas. 😏   British science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke formulated three adages that are known as Clarke's three laws, of which the third law – that "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" – is the best known and most widely cited.   Stribeck and the pivotable Hersey Number isn't voodoo nor snake oil. That part is physics. It's what marketing and bean counters do with it that is snake oil and voodoo.    Stribeck is the relationship between Hersey and the Coefficient of Friction. Within the Hersey Equation if viscosity and viscosity is 'Dependent' on.......heat.......and.......viscosity index or the temperature to viscosity slope.    Specifically Hersey is the viscosity AT THE TEMPERATURE IN THAT LOCATION FOR THAT SLOPE.   Hydrodynamic lubrication exist when the film thickness in the location is 3X the Ra roughness of the surface. This is irrespective of the hardness of the substrate. To obtain that thickness X viscosity is required for Y velocity at Z load. That's a lot of moving parts. It is also impossible to maintain in an ICE but nearly possible with a turbine under constant load.    What does that mean? Error heavy and operate light. Wear is inevitable but the rate of wear and the milage obtainable are a function of prevailing conditions and HABITS. The only penalty is viscous drag and at fractions so low as to be well worth the effort. Double the life, half the manufacturing carbon foot print. Greed is the only impediment.    The materials generated by SwRI are the RESULT not an estimation or a hypothesis.    Don't delude yourself sir, EV's have as many pitfalls as ICE's. We just don't know what they are yet and it will take longer to sort as MARKETING and GREEDY CEO's have had more time to polish the turd they are selling.
    • You can always count on greed to prey on ignorance and stupidity.    Friend bought a 2019 Ford Flex and asked me about using Valvoline R&P 5W30 in it. Told him give the miles on it and the fact it wasn't yet using oil that it was a good plan. He uses a Valvoline quick change shop for his oil service.   First they tell him that isn't the oil the OEM recommends. He told them he didn't care what the OEM thought. Then they floated the, "But it will void your warranty"    His reply was it's a 2019, there is no warranty and informed them their knowledge of the law was lacking.    Then they tell him 'But it will ruin your motor"!.    Mine to ruin he says. Finally they give in and charge him 150% the semi-syn price    Point it the brainwash is so embedded that even the service industry is drunk on their swill. The public is right behind them. Echoing the same lies on every forum and media platform. If the end goal is indeed EV then I'd say that ship is about built.
    • Diesel hit $6.00 here today at the truck stop.   Payed $2.79 for E85 today too.
