1998 Front bumper valance question (same between trucks, vans and &#39

I have a 1998 Chevy 1500 Express van that is a conversion van. I had to remove the ABS cladding because it was falling apart. So I discovered after I removed the cover off the front bumper, the valance that goes under the front bumper is missing.

 

I found this one on Ebay:

It says it won't fit my van but will a Suburban. I know years back (70s and 80s) vans and trucks shared allot of the same parts like the bumpers.

 

So is there any chance Chevy trucks, Surburbans and vans built in 1998 also shared the same front bumper?

 

Just wondering if this piece will actually it my van.

No replies? Apparantly Burbs, full size trucks and full size vans do not use the same front bumper as I thought. Not into the 1990s anyway.

 

So I did an extensive search on Ebay and Google and have turned up nothing! Everytime I look for an air dam or valance for a 1998 model it pulls up later models (like 2005).

 

After removing the front cover, it appears mine is missing. Or is it?

 

 

 

There are threaded clips under the bumper for mounting something.

 

The van looks kind of naked after seeing it with the flaring missing. Maybe I just need to get used to it. I'm currently working on filling in the holes, wet sanding, spot painting them then wet sanding them again then giving them a buffing. Then may cover up the holes with some 2" pinstriping material.

 

Looks like I may have to resort to using landscape edging and homemade brackets until I can't find one. I thought about calling some salvage yards but when it comes to body parts, they always want to sell you the entire bumper.
