PO442 EVAP Help

Hello - I installed a new gas cap but P0442 persists. Need some help installing OEM canister purge solenoid vent valve - GM part 12581282 (This is the one that sits on top of the intake manifold). 2004 Silverado 1500 Z71 5.3. How do i remove the white clip that holds the hose to the top of the canister? It appears to go all the way around the female end of the hose to hold it on to the male vent valve. Does it slide off somehow? Which direction? Does anyone know what the white clip part number is in case i break it?

Push in the white clip , one side or the other , it is a quick coupler kinda dealeo, you'll see once it's off

Thanks. I was under the impression the white tab would come off but once i started looking at it i got it off. Just to tie this posting off. Push on one side or the other of the white tab and at the same time pull the female plug off. The white tab stays with the plug assembly as you pull it off.

Did this solve the issue? I also received this code when my check engine light went on.
