2015 Sierra Week One

I picked up a black Sierra Crew Cab 5.3l 6 speed 5 days ago. Leaving to work for the week in another city so thought I would share my experiences.

 

Busy weekend so after returning from the cottage only had time to wash, clay bar, and treat the vinyl with 303 (which seems to be a fantastic product!) Hope to polish, seal and wax this Friday; will post a pic then.

 

So far the vehicle has been absolutely perfect. I have not experienced any of the issues I have read about. No vibration at 125 kmph. The shift between V8 and V4 is seamless, I never notice. I stomp on it, it goes. Latest mileage 9.5 litres per 100 km.

 

I parked at my cottage, where nobody ever gets a cell signal, and I had an Internet connection in the vehicle. Very surprised, this saves me needing to get a satellite Internet service for work emergencies.

 

About the only thing I could could complain about is the fastening system for the factory tonneau cover. I like the cover but I will never be able to teach my wife how to refasten it, the two handles work so differently. If I did it again I would not purchase it, I would pay a few hundred more for something easier to use.

Congrats on your purchase. I have yet to try the wifi, maybe I'll add it to the list for tomorrow.
