oil leak and cracking underneath truck

1300 miles on my new 2500 6.0 and already leaks a small amount of oil and theres some cracking on what im guessing is the oil pan. Already had the truck in for the oil and they couldnt figure it out. All they did was tighten the filter. Anyone know anything about this cracking. It looks like metal and not paint but i dont know. It wont simply flake off.you can also see the oil drip.

Its from the casting process. Most of them look like that its not that the pan is cracking just appears so. Ever look at a Cobalt 2.2 or 2.4 Ecotec? They use a lost foam (or something foam) casting process and the block and heads look like they are made of Styrofoam in areas on it. What interests me is the oil that is on the bottom of the bellhousing that is not near the oil filter at all. I'd wipe and keep an eye on it.

what concerns me about the cracking is its not consistent everywhere, its only this one spot that I can tell. The oil... its coming from above somewhere and settling there. travels down that side but its a very small drip. only a couple drops made it to the driveway. not from the oil filter but I cant tell where its coming from. Im certainly not happy about it.

There are a couple places that would get oil to drip there. Rear main oil seal, oil filter and oil cooler line gasket which is above the oil filter. Just about every 4.8, 5.3, 6.0 and 6.2 Gen 4 small block I've seen on a lift have that "cracking" somewhere on the oil pan. None of them ever leaked. The only aluminum porosity issue that comes to mind was on 5.3 aluminum blocks.
