Aeroforce Interceptor gauge question for Pontiac Grand Prix

Since this is a question for my 1997 Grand Prix GTP I figured I would put it in the off topic section.

 

I recently purchased dual Aeroforce Interceptor (digital) gauges and when I plug them in both light up but only one has a blank screen. Now as it started to get dark I noticed that if you looked at it from just the right angle you could see that it is displaying something... So now I'm thinking that somehow the contrast has gotten screwed up when I was installing them. Does anybody know if there is a way to adjust this? I found an article on how to do it by pushing the left button when it's starting up but then found out that this only works on ones made early 2008.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Talked to Aeroforce and I'm sending the them back because it appears something is defective.
