Truck power completely dead

Earlier in the day I tried to get into my truck and it is completely dead, not even the door locks open with the key fob.

 

Battery is less than a year old, truck was running perfectly fine last time I moved it two days ago.

 

No lamps or accessories were on that could have slowly completely drained the power. Truck is completely stock with zero modifications.

 

What would you check first?

Ground cable, then the battery.

Went from functioning perfectly to completely dead the next time I tried to turn it on.

 

Could it be a fuse or something similar that could have shorted out overnight?

Have you tried with another battery?

Or is your battery holding the charge now?

 

Sometimes a battery turns bad from one day to the next. Internal short kinda thing...

Thanks for the advice, the battery was indeed dead. Got a free replacement as it was still under warranty.
