Test Drove a 1500hd 4x4 with 4ws

Got to test drive a 1500hd (crew cab) with quadrasteer.  That thing rides stiff, I mean it makes my 3500 feel soft.  I like the 4ws but doubt id pay the 4000-6000 for it.  The feeling is impressive though.

 

One question though.....Is the axle wider, or was the frame narrowed to accomodate the wheels being able to turn.  You will notice that there is more space between the leaf springs and the wheels on quadrasteer equipped trucks.

I wondered if you can oversize your wheels and tires on a quad. Will that damage any ocmponents.

To answer Silverado, the track is wider, hence the larger fender flares.  Unfortunately, the wheels and tires cannot be upsized due to the sensors of the quadrasteer.  It will just default to 2WS, sorry Timk
