When your huge dog has free range on the house.  These are the steps up to my room, where he is just coming down from resting by the window, where he can look out and watch for intruders coming up the driveway.  These steps are just about as wide as he is, and steep enough where once he gets started coming down, he can't stop, has to go all the way to the bottom.

I don't know if cute is exactly what I'd call him, but he is pretty cool.  Great Pyrennes is what he is.  More stuff here.
