Dealer rustproofing

Recommended Posts

I know that GM has a 6yr/100,000mile warranty on rust-through. But when I negotiated the price on my truck the dealer added this for free (because it probably cost them next to nothing) and they will cover rust-through for life.

I got it back Friday afternoon and it looks pretty good. Nice smooth black finish, however, it's a good thing it didn't rain because most of it was still sticky when I got home and some parts are still sticky even now.  I haven't used the truck since then.

What is the stuff they use? They missed some parts and I want to redo it myself. The closest I think it could be is something similar to Tectyl.

Tectyl 107G or 121B from F&L Sales

Anybody know for sure what it is? Where can I get it? I don't think it's rubberized undercoating.
