Lift kits with front spacer for the shocks.

I have a RC 7" lift on my '14 Sierra.

 

I was wondering what is everyones opinion on lift kits using a spacer for the front shocks instead of kits that have coilovers or new length shocks?

Longer shocks would be a waste of money and resource because the suspension travel is not changing with regular lift kits; what these usually do is just offset all the suspension components X amount of inches down, or offset the whole truck X amount of inches up, depending on perspective.
