I purchased an Esky camera and monitor (from Amazon) for my 2014 regular cab. Install was pretty easy, the camera mounted on top of license plate, I wired it to my backup lights and fed the video cable up through the same hole the eBrake cable goes through. I also installed brighter LED bulbs in my backup lights. The particular monitor (screen) I got (not available currently) is 100% useless when the sun hits it but you get what you pay for. I may upgrade to the camera with LED lights ( shown here )because last week when I was backing out of my neighbor's driveway I couldn't see a thing aside from the glare from my plate lights. Granted it was darker than the inside of a cow but the camera was useless that night. Beside those issues I got my money's worth and it generally works.

does anyone know if you can install an oem camera on a 2015 4.2" screen that did not come with it from the factory?

did you installed yourself? I saw this at CarToys last night, looks cheap but I just want a camera on the back of the truck...

I did install it myself, my son ran the wire under the truck for me and zip tied it to an existing wiring harness along the way, I handled the electrical connections. I connected the AC by tapping into the cigarette lighter in the dash. Only issue is that that my iPhone makes the screen activate (occasionally) when plugged into cigarette lighter. That unit you found is just a monitor (no camera) and I noticed Best Buy sells it for $99. Seems pretty steep for just a monitor when you can get LED camera and monitor kit from Amazon for under $40.

Not sure if this monitor has same glare issue mine does but it's got pretty good reviews.

Now I see the camera, based on price and reviews I'd stay away from Audiovox.

thanks for the info, im gonna start looking for something different, plus CarToys charges a lot when they do the job..
