What's my axle ratio??

I'm almost too embarassed to ask, but what is the rear axle ratio on my 2000 chevy Z71 with a 5.3 liter vortec?  The code on the 8.5x11 sheet from the factory says the R/axle code is BZ7.  Is there a way to check in the glove box as well?

Could not find a stamp on the axle itself. (it was raining, so I didn't try too hard)

I haven't heard of a BZ7.  I would guess it's a 3.73 rear as that is the general rear axle for Z71's.

Look in your glove box for one of these codes.  It's probably one of the bold ones.

 

GH0 - 3.54:1 Rear Axle Ratio

GT4 - 3.73:1 Rear Axle Ratio

GT5 - 4.10:1 Rear Axle Ratio

GU4 - 3.08:1 Rear Axle Ratio

GU6 - 3.42:1 Rear Axle Ratio

HC4 - 4.65:1 Rear Axle Ratio
